NZ MASTERS INDIVIDUALS & TEAMS EVENT

Wow, what a massive 5 days it was helping out at the NZ Masters Individuals & Teams Event. A big thank you to Hamilton Squash & Tennis Club for hosting this national event. Started off with 180 individual entries and 8 district regions competing in the teams event.

Congratulations to our Waikato Masters team, who finished 4th in NZ in the Inter-District Teams Event.

Also what a special moment for Trevor Coulter (88) and Marina Whiu (82) being capped as the oldest masters competing at the NZ Masters Individuals. You are both an inspiration for our sport. This year saw the introduction of a new 80+ Mens trophy, awarded to Trevor Coulter (Hamilton) who received a standing ovation at prize giving. For all of the individual results, check out our Squash Waikato Facebook Page here.

CLUBHOUSE RESCUE - PREMIERE 21ST OCTOBER

For those who haven't visited Te Rapa Squash Club recently, they have had a bit of a revamp thanks to being part of a new TV Programme “Clubhouse Rescue” and some hard work put in by their club members. The show sees sporting legends Israel Dagg and Stephen “Beaver” Donald get stuck into the renos and help turn some run down sports clubs, into amazing community spaces.

The renovations begin, October 21st on Bravo New Zealand!
